Arunachal: Joint operation in Changlang leads to seizure of brown sugar worth Rs 46.60 lakh

Itanagar, Sep 18 (UNI) A joint anti-narcotics operation by the 21 Assam Rifles, Arunachal Pradesh Police and CRPF led to the seizure of 233 grams of suspected brown sugar worth approximately Rs 46.60 lakh in Changlang district, a police source said on Friday. Acting on specific inputs, the security forces conducted the operation in the general area of Namgoi under Nampong Police Station on September 16. During the operation, the suspected contraband was recovered concealed in 21 soap cases. Two persons were also apprehended in connection with the recovery.
