Vice President C P Radhakrishnan opens 38th Pune Festival

Pune, Sep 18 (UNI) Urban development should not be measured merely by the construction of large and attractive buildings, but must also include preservation of art, culture and traditions, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan said here on Friday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 38th Pune Festival at Shri Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch in Swargate, Radhakrishnan said development cannot be achieved by abandoning the roots of Indian culture.
