UP declares five districts as drought affected

Lucknow, Apr 20 (UNI) It's just the starting of summers and Uttar Pradesh government has already declared its five districts as drought affected.
The UP government has asked the concerned officials to supply food grains and other essential commodities in five districts---Mahoba, Lalitpur and Jhansi (Bundelkhand), Sonebhadra and Mirzapur (in eastern Uttar Pradesh).
The state Relief Commissioner Sanjay Kumar in a statement on Friday said that Antodaya families (Below Poverty Line) will get basic essential food items including 15 kg flour, 25 kg potato, 5 kg pulse, 1 kg iodised salt, 1 kg desi ghee, 3 kg mustard oil and skimmed milk for the children.
