Maharashtra and Odisha in finals of Sub Junior Kho Kho Nationals

Ranchi, Oct 5 (UNI) Defending Champions Maharashtra will take on Odisha for the top honours in both the boys’ and girls’ category at the 30th Kho Kho Sub-Junior Nationals, here at Albert Ekka Kho Kho Stadium, Hotwar on Sunday.
Maharashtra continued their winning run as the boys’ team defeated Kolhapur by an easy margin of 4 points and one inning in the quarterfinal. Kolhapur had a great run earlier in the run-up with some really close wins but it was not their day as Maharashtra won a string of points to bridge the points margin and emerge, winner.
The semi-final between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh boys were yet another entertaining bout as both teams fought with all their might but Maharashtra showed more exposure and won by 3 points and less than two minutes to spare. Maharashtra had earlier defeated Tamil Nadu in the pre-quarters.
