Fisherman injured in Shark bite, dies after being caught by locals in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) A fisherman in Palghar district of Maharashtra was injured and survived after a shark attack him while the shark died after being caught by villagers.
This was reportedly the first shark attack in Palghar.
The injured fisherman, 34-year-old Vikya Suresh Gowari, is undergoing treatment at Vinoba Bhave Hospital in Silvasa.

Nanded, July 14 (UNI) Maharashtra’s Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan on Sunday hit out at attempts to spread misinformation on the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and urged women of all castes and tribes to take advantage of it.
Mahajan, who is also Nanded District Guardian Minister, said women should ignore attempts being made to spread negativity about the scheme that promises Rs 1,500 per month to all eligible women and urged officials to improve its coverage.
