Woman commits suicide after killing two kids in Kangra

Dharamshala, May 21 (UNI) A 30-year-old woman killed her two kids, including nine-month-old daughter, by poisoning them and later on committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in the same room in Rakkar, police said on Monday.
Jawalamukhi Sub Divisional Police Officer Yogesh Dutt Joshi told UNI that Mamta, originally from Delhi had married of her own choice to Rakesh, a tailor master by profession, who was working in Delhi and resident of Rakkar. Her husband had passed away in March this year.
The SDPO said that police was informed by the mother-in-law of the victim that Mamta along with her two kids son Ariyan (9) and nine-month-old daughter Ruhi had locked their room from inside after which locals alongwith the police broke open the door and found the trio dead inside the room.
