El Niño to intensify till February, Maharashtra prepared for further impact: Fadnavis

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Maharashtra is likely to continue facing the impact of El Niño, with the weather phenomenon expected to intensify until February before gradually weakening, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday. Fadnavis said the warming of the Pacific Ocean associated with El Niño could aggravate the challenges posed by irregular rainfall and drought conditions in the state. "El Niño is still intensifying.
