Ganpati mandals must ensure safety during celebrations: Minister Shelar

Mumbai, Sep 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar on Sunday urged all Ganpati mandals in Mumbai to strictly follow safety rules and ensure the safety of devotees during the ongoing Ganeshotsav. Shelar appealed to visiting KEM Hospital and meeting the families of eight-year-old Ragini Ghanshyam Yadav and 33-year-old Sujata, who were killed in an electrocution incident near the Kalachowki Mahaganpati Mandal early Saturday. Two persons were killed and four others injured after receiving electric shocks near a temporary drinking water and cold drink stall on Dattaram Lad Marg at around 0220 hours.
