Drought declared in 75 per cent of Maharashtra, but concrete assistance still awaited: Congress

Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has declared drought in 75 per cent of the state, but it has yet to announce concrete financial assistance for affected farmers, state Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal said today. He said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the two Deputy Chief Ministers had visited drought-affected areas and witnessed the severity of the situation.
