Pune Metro records 48.32 lakh ridership during 12-Day Ganesh Festival

Pune, Sep 26 ( UNI) Pune Metro is increasingly emerging as a second lifeline for commuters, recording an unprecedented response from passengers during the Ganesh festival this year. As many as 48,32,915 passengers travelled by Metro during the 12-day period from September 14 to 25, 2026, generating revenue of Rs 7,49,28,377. On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, when immersion processions were held across the city, 5,80,280 passengers used the Metro service during the 24-hour period from 6 am on September 25 to 6 am on September 26.
