Maharashtra Cabinet forms sub-committee to oversee relief measures and tackle drought-like situation

Mumbai, Sep 22 ( UNI) The Maharashtra government on Tuesday decided to constitute a Cabinet sub-committee to oversee drought-relief measures amid a drought-like situation and a prolonged spell of deficient rainfall in several parts of the state. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will head the sub-committee, which has been given powers to take decisions on measures required from time to time to address the situation.
