Maha: FDA seizes 5,385 kg of Mawa worth Rs 16.52 lakh in Dhule ahead of Ganesh Festival

Dhule, Sep 22 (UNI) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stopped the transportation of 5,385 kg of mawa powder, allegedly being transported from Ahmedabad to Akola for the preparation of sweets during the Ganesh festival. The consignment was intercepted in the Morane area with the assistance of Dhule Taluka Police. The FDA seized 13 varieties of mawa manufactured by different companies, with a total estimated value of Rs 16.52 lakh.
