Maha: Horticultural Society opposes proposed transfer of 2.5 acres of Empress Garden land in Pune

Pune, Sep 25 (UNI) The Agri-Horticultural Society of Western India has opposed the Maharashtra government's reported move to transfer around 2.5 acres of land from the historic Empress Botanical Garden here for construction of a court Addressing a press conference, Society President Pratap Pawar and Honorary Secretary Suresh Pingale said the proposed transfer could affect the garden's green cover and biodiversity.
