Former Agniveers to Get 10 PC Quota in uniformed state services

Pune, Sep 30 (UNI) Former Agniveers who have completed four years of service in the armed forces will be eligible for 10 per cent horizontal reservation in Group-C uniformed services in Maharashtra, according to a decision by the state government. Welcoming the decision, India Against Corruption ( IAC) national president Hemant Patil thanked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the state government. The reservation will cover uniformed posts in the police, State Reserve Police Force, prisons, fire services, Home Guards, state excise, forest department and municipal bodies, Patil said.
