Gandhi memorial at SPPU to be set up soon

Pune, Sep 26 ( UNI) The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Committee on Thursday urged Savitribai Phule Pune University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Suresh Gosavi to expedite the installation of a full-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the university's main campus. A delegation of the committee met Dr Gosavi and pointed out that the university's Senate had approved resolutions in March 2025 and subsequently a revised proposal in 2026 for installation of the statue.
