UP govt ask technical institutions to set up incubators

Lucknow, Dec 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government under the `Atmanirbhar’ campaign, has asked technical institutes in the state to establish incubators, if they have not done so now.
In July this year, the Yogi Adityanath government had announced the "Uttar Pradesh Start-up Policy 2020". The start-up policy aims at setting up 100 incubators in UP and at least one in every district, and developing an ecosystem to set up at least 10,000 start-ups.
The state government press statement here on Wednesday said the policy would help in turning the youth from job seekers to job providers. Aim of the policy is bringing Uttar Pradesh among the top three states in the start-up sector in the country and setting up India’s biggest start-up incubator in Lucknow. According to the statement, the start-up policy is expected to create direct employment opportunities for 50,000 people and indirect employment for one lakh people in the state.
