Tripura Minister praises ISKCON's India Tribal Care Trust

Ambassa, Mar 18 (UNI) Tripura Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports(YAS) and Food, Manoj Kanti Deb praised the initiatives taken by International Society for Krishna Consciousness(ISKCON) affiliated India Tribal Care Trust(ITCT) to sought out the roadmap for socio-economic development.
While addressing the convention in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today, the minister remarked, "In last 25 years of leftist rule the tribal hamlets have virtually been ruined due to the lack of basic amenities of life. The administration has never thought it necessary to even keep records. At that situation, ISKCON and ITCT have performed a praiseworthy job by setting up schools, potable water sources and awareness on sanitation to some extent. I hope they will continue such humanitarian efforts in future also."
