Thrissur, Jan 18 (UNI) Curtain will go up for the tenth edition of the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFOK), which will begin in Thrissur on January 20, with the opening of spectacular “Palestine year zero'--a play from Paletine.
Theatre enthusiasts in India and abroad will descend the cultural capital of Kerala to witness 16 acclaimed plays from across the globe with this year’s theme being “Reclaiming the Margins” as it dedicated to isolated, excluded, alienated, or pushed to the edges of the society. Many voices that went unheard hitherto are sought to be projected through the plays, organisers from the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, which is hosting the festival , said.
“Through this festival, we hope to highlight the power of the margins, as a space for collective reflection, engagement and action, a place where silence is broken”, the organisers said.
