Thane travel agent booked for duping

Thane, Mar 10 (UNI) A lady travel agent has been booked by the Thane police on the alleged duping the customers and the company to the tune of Rs 57.80 lakhs, the police said on Saturday.
According to the complaint, the alleged accused S Ghotankar was wooing customers since 2014. Seeking foreign trips of getting concession if they made cash payments, she collected the monies received from them and misappropriated the collection from 23 such customers.
The Chitalsar police under Wagle Estate division have registered, an offence under section 420,406,465,468,477(A) of the IPC against the alleged accused S Ghotankar the police said. However, no arrest has been made in this connection so far.
