Ten-days Ganesha festival begins in Nanded

Nanded , Sep 13 (UNI) The 10 days Ganesha festival began with traditional enthusiasm and gaiety in the city and the district, today.

Various Ganesh Mandals installed the Ganesh idols at different places with prior permission of the charity commission office and they are also given temporary connection of power supply. During this festival the superintendent of police Sanjay Jadhav has imposed a ban on using Disc Jockey (DJ) so as to avoid sound pollution and asked the Ganesh Mandals to follow the orders else action will be taken. Despite touching the price of petrol to Rs 88 per litre in the district there is no reduction in enthusiasm of the activists of various Ganesh mandals.
