Tanzania-flagged vessel on fire in Singaporean waters, all crews rescued

Dodoma, April 16 (UNI) Tanzania-flagged freighter LAYAR ANGGUN 8 reported fire onboard in Singapore's territorial waters Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
The Singapore Police Coast Guard recovered all 12 crew members. A firefighting vessel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force and MPA patrol craft went to the site to provide support.
There is no pollution sighted and no immediate risk to navigational safety, the MPA said, adding that it issues regular navigational broadcasts for passing vessels. The incident is under investigation.
