Djokovic claims 7th China Open men's singles title, Andreeva powers into last 8

Beijing, Oct 7 (UNI) Serbian veteran Novak Djokovic claimed his seventh China Open men's singles title, while Russia's Mirra Andreeva reached the women's singles quarterfinals with a straight-set victory here on Tuesday. Djokovic, 39, who previously won the China Open in 2009, 2010 and from 2012 to 2015, continued his perfect record at the tournament. The 24-time Grand Slam champion came from behind to defeat top seed Alexander Zverev of Germany in the quarterfinals before advancing to the final after third seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia was defaulted while trailing in the semifinals.
