Blessin appointed Gladbach coach after winless Bundesliga start

Berlin, Sep 23 (UNI) Borussia Monchengladbach has appointed Alexander Blessin as its new head coach on a contract until 2028 as the Bundesliga club looks to recover from a winless start to the season, the club announced. The 53-year-old succeeds Eugen Polanski, who was dismissed after just three rounds. Interim coach Jan-Moritz Lichte oversaw Saturday's 4-3 defeat to Mainz, leaving Gladbach bottom of the table as the only Bundesliga side without a point after four matches.
