Arctic Open: Sindhu, Tanvi advance as India endure mixed opening day

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu made a winning start to her Arctic Open 2026 campaign, beating Canada's Wen Yu Zhang in straight games on Tuesday, but India had a mixed opening day at the BWF Super 500 tournament in Vantaa. The sixth-seeded Sindhu needed just 28 minutes to beat Zhang 21-8, 21-11 and move into the second round.
