Gulveer, Sreeshankar add silver medals as India's athletics surge continues

Aichi-Nagoya, Sept 28 (UNI) Gulveer Singh and Murali Sreeshankar added two more silver medals to India's athletics haul at the Asian Games here on Monday, with Gulveer producing a personal best in the 1500m and Sreeshankar defying injury to finish runner-up in the long jump. Gulveer clocked 3:36.72 to claim silver in a fiercely contested 1500m final, finishing just 0.37 seconds behind Japan's Kazuto Iizawa, who won gold in a Games-record 3:36.35.
