Manipur Governor, Deputy CM call for safe and respectful workplaces

Imphal, Sep 28 (UNI) The Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, organised a one-day inter-departmental workshop on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 in Imphal on Monday. Addressing the programme, at the City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla highlighted Manipur's long history of women's empowerment and activism, referring to the Nupi Lal, the Meira Paibis and the economic role of women at Ima Keithel.
