Deep depression over Bay of Bengal likely to intensify into severe cyclonic Storm; heavy rain alert for Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 1 (UNI) The depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards at a speed of 23 kmph during the past six hours and intensified into a deep depression, lying centred over the Southeast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal at 0530 hrs on Sunday, the Meteorological Centre said. The system was located near latitude 11.5 degrees N and longitude 86.4 degrees E, about 700 km east-southeast of Chennai, 770 km south-southeast of Visakhapatnam, 770 km southeast of Machilipatnam and 810 km east-southeast of Ongole.
