10 lakh footfall expected at Diwali festival in Tripureswari temple of Tripura

Agartala, Nov 1 (UNI) The traditional three-day Diwali festival will begin on November 8 at the sacred Tripureswari Temple in Tripura's Udaipur in Gomati district, where more than 10 lakh devotees are expected to visit during the festival, up from about eight lakh last year. A drone show will be among this year's main attractions, along with cultural programmes and decorative lights across the temple grounds. Priests arriving from Kashi will also lead a special Mangal Aarti, Finance Minister and Udaipur MLA Pranajit Singha Roy said.
