Several villages under flood in north AP districts, Nagavali, Vamshadhara in spate

Vijayawada, Sep 25 (UNI) Though rains have subsided in north Andhra Pradesh, hundreds pf villages in Srikakulam and ASR districts are under floodwaters as heavy inflows continue in the Nagavali and Vamshadhara rivers. Incessant rains lashed the region for about two days under the influence of a deep depression and the worst affected were Srikakulam and ARS districts, with many low-lying areas remaining submerged. Road connectivity too is cut off to as many as 55 villages. The Madduvalasa reservoir at Vangara in Vizianagaram district is brimming to full capacity with an inflow of 28,000 cusecs and a discharge of 30,000…
