AP: Govt. to buy 37 lakh MT of paddy, procurement beings on Nov' 1: Minister

Vijayawada, Sep 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar had made it clear that the government has targeted to purchase 37 lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy produce from the farmers during the 2026-27 kharif season and the procurement process will commence on November 1. Talking to the media here on Friday, the Minister said that elaborate arrangements are being made for the paddy procurement from the farmers across the State, adding that alternative arrangements are being made to provide gunny bags to the farmers.
