Bandi Sanjay alleges injustice in Telangana's drought-affected mandal list

Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday criticised the Telangana government over the declaration of drought-affected mandals, alleging that several areas with significant rainfall deficits, particularly in the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency, had been excluded from the list. In a statement, he questioned the criteria used to identify drought-affected mandals and alleged that the selection process was unscientific. He pointed out that even mandals with a 35 per cent rainfall deficit had been left out, despite reports of barren fields and drinking water shortages.
