Telangana Govt declares 365 Mandals drought-affected

Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) The Telangana government has declared 365 mandals across 31 districts as drought-affected in view of adverse seasonal conditions, including deficient rainfall during the 2026 monsoon. According to Government Order (G.O. Ms. No. 03), issued by the Revenue (Disaster Management) Department on October 24, a total of 111 mandals have been classified as severely drought-affected and 254 as moderately affected. The government has directed District Collectors to initiate relief measures, monitor the situation and take necessary steps to address the needs of people in the affected areas.
