Karnataka Cabinet clears Rs 32,611-cr coastal package

Bengaluru, Sep 18 (UNI) The Karnataka Cabinet on Friday unveiled a Rs 32,611-crore coastal development push, anchored by a proposed 200-metre 'Mangaluru Eye' sky tower, a Rs 6,925-crore multipurpose harbour and shipyard at Manki and expansion of Karwar airport to handle A-320 aircraft. The decisions were taken at a special Cabinet meeting in Mangaluru, where the government approved 61 proposals covering tourism, ports, healthcare, education, roads and water supply, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwar said.
