Cinema industry status to balance cultural values, commercial interests: Kerala Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 29 (UNI) Kerala's proposed industry status for the cinema sector will focus on protecting its artistic and cultural values while also strengthening its commercial and business potential, Culture Minister P C Vishnunath said. The government will examine the proposal comprehensively and incorporate the views of various stakeholders before placing the revised draft before the Cabinet, he said. Addressing a meeting of representatives of various film organisations here, the Minister said there was currently no similar model in other States and therefore all aspects would be studied before implementation.
