Voluntary disclosure key to transparent governance: Telangana Governor

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Friday described the Right to Information (RTI) Act as the lifeblood of democracy and stressed that voluntary disclosure of information was essential for transparent and accountable governance. Addressing the RTI Week Celebrations-2026 organised by the Telangana Information Commission at Ravindra Bharathi here, he urged public authorities to provide clear, impartial and reasoned replies to RTI applications within the stipulated time.
