DVAC launches major crackdown in TN govt offices, seizes Rs 1.73 cr in cash, digital transactions

Chennai, Sep 23 (UNI) Launching a major state-wide crackdown on corruption, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted surprise inspections at 36 government offices across Tamil Nadu and seized unaccounted cash and digital transactions to the tune of Rs 1.73 crore. Theraids were carried out on Tuesday at offices including corporations, municipalities, the Water Supply and Drainage Board, taluk offices and Block Development Officer offices, a DVAC release listing out the seizures in each district, said here today.
