Chandigarh, Sept 23 (UNI) The Punjab government on Wednesday formally raised dearness allowance for state employees by eight percentage points to 50 per cent from 42 per cent, a day after the Punjab and Haryana High Court summoned the state's chief secretary over what it called a prima facie failure to comply with earlier orders on pending DA payments.
