Hyd: Food safety teams inspect 20 establishments in LB Nagar; licences of nine suspended

Hyderabad, Sept 16 (UNI) The Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) conducted a special food safety drive in LB Nagar and inspected 20 food establishments, including restaurants, hotels and manufacturing units, officials said on Wednesday. Ten enforcement teams comprising Food Safety Officers and police personnel carried out the inspections. Various violations were found at some establishments, including use of spoiled or contaminated meat and vegetables, pest infestation, unhygienic premises, improper record maintenance, expired food articles and inadequate segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
