Mah govt, Mazagon Dock sign Rs. 27,000-crore pact for mega Greenfield Shipbuilding Project at Dighi

Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) The Maharashtra government and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) have signed a historic agreement for setting up one of the country's largest greenfield shipbuilding projects at Dighi, in Raigad district, with an estimated investment of around Rs 27,000 crore. The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane. The ambitious project is expected to significantly enhance Maharashtra's contribution to India's shipbuilding capacity and generate more than 90,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
