Telangana govt taking proactive measures to tackle El Niño impact: Ponguleti

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Friday said the state government was taking proactive measures across all sectors to tackle the possible impact of El Niño and rainfall deficit under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Participating in a short-duration discussion on El Niño in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Ponguleti said several districts were experiencing significant rainfall deficits. Up to September 10, the deficit ranged from 21 per cent in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri to 46 per cent in Jogulamba Gadwal.
