UN mission says reasonable evidence to believe US carried out war crimes in initial hours of Iran war

New York, Sep 18 (UNI) A UN fact-finding mission said on Thursday there were reasonable grounds to believe the US committed war crimes during two strikes in Iran in the opening hours of the current war, while also finding that Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity during their deadly crackdown on anti-government protests before the conflict. The findings are contained in a new report by the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran, which is due to be presented to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
