Kerala aims to bring generic SMA drug price below Rs 9,000: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 26 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on Monday announced that the government aims to reduce the price of generic medicine for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) patients to below Rs 9,000 from the current Rs 15,000, while outlining a broader healthcare strategy focused on prevention, early diagnosis and affordable treatment.
