Gas pipeline to reach Aizawl by 2028

Aizawl, Oct 26 (UNI) The 119.45-km Panisagar-Aizawl gas pipeline is expected to reach Mamit town by March-April 2027 and Sihhmui in Aizawl district by March-April 2028, with the Mizoram government pushing for faster construction to ease the state's dependence on LPG cylinders. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister B. Lalchhanzova reviewed the progress of the project during an inspection at Tuidam in Mamit district on Monday, urging the executing agency to accelerate the work and ensure timely completion.
