Sikkim Lamas request CM to ban Kabbadi 4 now

Gangtok, June 7 (UNI) The Sikkim Lama Association and the All India Buddhist Forum have decided to request the authorities to prevent the release of Kabaddi-4: the final match in Sikkim.
Consequently, Sikkim Lama Association has announced that they will speak with Chief Minister PS Tamang to stop the release in Gangtok and Namchi.
They have also decided to write a letter to the Minister for culture and email for not allowing the film in South and East Sikkim.
They will continue to protest till the matter is settled legally. They asserted that it has hurt their sentiments because of insults of a monk by the actress of the film.
The matter started due to the slapping of a monk by the actress of Kabaddi 4 while the promotion of the film was going on in Kathmandu town.
The actress alleged that the monk Phurba Lama had touched her. Phurba was arrested and reported to the police. The next day, both parties apologized to each other, settled the case mutually and agreed not to hinder the film.
According to Nepal, TV Lama has been accepted as a brother by the actress he also has accepted the mistake.
However, the Buddhist Association in Sikkim is still opposing the film.
It had more impact because one of the 2 Co-producers, Sushma Gurung is from Sikkim, though silent on the film making Crores in Nepal and about to be released in UAE.
