Rs 16 Cr for Medical infrastructure development in Kakinada GGH: Dy CM

Kakinada, Sep 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Home Nimmakayala Chinarajappa has said that the medical infrastructure in Kakinada Government general hospital (GGH) would be developed spending Rs 16 crores.
Intervening in the discussion at the Zilla parishad general body meeting here on Sunday, he said, of the total Rs 16 crores required, government had agreed to provide Rs 6 Crores for the development of Gynecology ward while another Rs 10 Crores would be mobilized through various sources including CSR funds. He said all the vacant doctors posts would be filled up shortly and the recruitment exercise was in progress.
Stating that the medical facilities in agency area are also being improved, he said, Mini SNCU were established at community health centers of Y Ramavaram, Addateegala, Chintoor and Kunavaram. In addition, he said, special thrust was being given for improving the medical facilities in all the 11 agency mandals.
