Protests against robbing of blind student at Howrah station

Kolkata, Apr 01 (UNI) The Paschimbanga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani today expressed concern over un-policing attitude by some GRP personnel in Howrah station, where a visually impaired student of Rabindrabharati University, Jibankrishna Rakshit had been assaulted and robbed by some miscreants on Saturday.
The visually impaired student and his friends were turned away by the GRP when thy had gone to lodge a compaint in connection with the incident.
However, as a result of their protest, the GRP had to receive the complaints and initiate some action, Paschimbanga Rajya Pratibandhi Sammilani,General Secretary, Kanti Ganguly said in a statement.
