Nurses strike claims lives of innocent at RIMS Ranchi

Ranchi, Jun 2 (UNI) The health care system at the state's largest government hospital the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences has been paralysed post the strike by the nurses, junior doctors, interns and para medical staffs.

Early in the morning today alleging physical harassment by the relatives of a patient, more than 350 nurses went on a strike and also stopped the emergency services. Senior doctors at RIMS said after the death of patient identified as Geeta Gupta who was admitted in the medicine unit of Dr Umesh Prasad the family members had a scuffle with the nurses and the inter doctors after which all of them went on a mass strike leaving the fate of 1,400 patients at the hospital in the hands of the god.
