World Tourism Day: Bundelkhand's forts, faith and folk tales draw 7 cr visitors

Shaped by the Chandelas and Bundelas, the region's historic forts, temples and archaeological treasures, from Jhansi Fort and Kalinjar to the spiritual landscapes of Chitrakoot, offer visitors a journey through its rich cultural heritage. Spread across Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda and Chitrakoot, Bundelkhand recorded nearly 7 crore tourist visits in 2025, reflecting growing interest in its heritage and cultural landscape.
