J&K: Labourer verification made mandatory for contractors in bordering Kathua

Jammu , Oct 8 (UNI) Observing that the engagement of persons without proper verification may pose a potential threat to public order, safety, and security, District Magistrate Rajesh Sharma on Thursday ordered that the verification of such individuals be made mandatory in the bordering Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per the order issued by the District Magistrate, it has been observed that contractors and sub-contractors undertaking infrastructure construction, road works, private projects, and other works within District Kathua engage labourers and other workers without verifying their antecedents through the competent authorities.
