Casual, daily-wage workers protest in Srinagar, seek regularisation

Srinagar, Sept 22 (UNI) Casual and daily-wage workers from various government departments staged a protest in Srinagar on Tuesday, demanding regularisation of their services, revision of wages and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme. The protest was organised under the banner of the Jammu and Kashmir Casual/Daily Wagers Forum and was led by its president Sajad Ahmed Parray. The protesters said they had been waiting for years for their demands to be addressed and urged the government to take immediate steps towards resolving their issues.
